Now I Am Finally Me

I received this joke some time ago and I kept it for a time when I need a quick laugh. The time come liao....
***beginning of joke***
Before marriage: He: Yes. At last. It was so hard to wait. She: Do you want me to leave? He: NO! Don't even think about it. She: Do you love me? He: Of course! She: Have you ever cheated on me? He: NO! Why you even asking? She: Will you kiss me? He: Yes! She: Will you hit me? He: No way! I'm not such kind of person! She: Can I trust you? Now after the marriage you can read it from bottom to the top !!!!
***end of joke***
Well, there's one more thing that I want to say today and it's all about image. I revamped my main website http://www.marshamaung.com, right? And the main reason I did it was a branding or image revamp thing. I did the same thing with my facebook. I've always tried to project this 'hot, sexy, never-aging, cool, hip, hop, short-skirt dressup, fashion icon' kinda image but oh come on....this is not the time for this liao lor. I want something else now. I mean, it's cool that I want people to see me in that way. But it's tiring, believe me. I somehow feel that people expect a whole lot more from me when they think I am like super or hot or cute. I posted this or used this picture as a profile picture for almost everything online that I have because HONESTLY SPEAKING, it caught my face at the right angle and I had, like, ten inches of makeup on. SERIOUSLY. close-up pix using my own camera will reveal this, I swear to God. A bit tired of the image, I used this. Then people ask me why I so sad. So kesian. (pitiful) Ahya! fed-up lah! Now I use this. This is the real me. I am actually a little bit nerdy. So there! Now....I am finally me!!!! UPDATE! OK OK OK! How about this one?

At Camp 5, 1 Utama: Kids' Rescue Mission

The kids had a wonderfully exciting day today. Now, this is as extreme as this mother is going to get. Mommy goes Paintball, kids go mountain-climbing...I think I've fulfilled the criteria of offering my kids a fun and exciting life as a kid. :-) It was one of their friends' birthday party and they're a little bored of KidzSports...that's for BABIES, anyway, they say. So, off to Camp 5 then, says the birthday boy's mother. Camp 5 in 1 Utama is located near Neways Karaoke, for those who have never been there before. It's a neat little corner tucked up on the roof of the massive shopping complex. Anyway, the kids had tons of fun although a little apprhensive when they saw how high the 'rock' was. It's actually quite neat and if I didn't feel like throwing up whenever up on higher grounds, I would have wanted to try it as well. The highlight of this party came in the form of a rescue mission. As we all know, when one is frighte...

A Liberating Activity - Guess What Mine Is....

When asked what’s my one single favorite thing to do in the world, I would usually name a whole list of things that I love to do when my work is not screaming at me. Something that takes my mind COMPLETELY off of everyday tasks and relaxes me. Take a guess what it is…. If you say ‘ reading ’, yes, I love reading (especially soppy love stories with lots of sex scenes, please. Hee hee hee ….) and I also love mystery novels but it’s not the first on the list. If you say ‘ playing the piano ’; yes, I love playing the piano. Creating forms a huge part of my life and whenever I play the piano (as inept at it as I am), there’s this tiny little girl inside of me jumping up and down with glee, clapping her hands. It’s my childhood dream to be able to play the piano! And thumping on the keys gives me a sense of satisfaction when I hear the music. If you say ‘ writing ’; You’ve got to be kidding me! You mean I don’t write enough as it is? Case closed. If you say ‘ playing with my kids ’; Yea...

My Favorite Soup In The World

For some very strange reason, if you gave me a choice between soup and fruit juice, I feel a magnetic pull towards the ‘soup’. It’s a very Chinese thing and I understand that a lot of Chinese people are rather soupy people too. Pardon the word ‘soupy’, my brain isn’t quite working today and it’s like working in ssssllllooooowwww mmmmoooottttiioooonnnn today. Sigh…such is life. Yesterday was a darn hectic day and today is another one – I’ll suffer more today because of the brain-deadedness. My mom makes the meanest soups in the world . Last Sunday, we went over to her place for dinner and she made this absolutely mouth-watering soup that had me gulping down a huge bowl the size of a wok! Darn good…to say that I miss my mom’s cooking is an understatement. She is THE MEGA TERROR cook of the century! I am biased….so? The problem is that nowadays, her memory is not very good, so, once in a while, you’ll see her asking herself, “Did I put salt already ah?” If you’re within hearing dis...
