Kota Damansara, Sunway Damansara, Tropicana....they all used to be prime area where the condos and landed properties cost a bomb compared to places like Kajang....or Cheras. There you can get BIG homes for HALF THE PRICE. I used to be quite proud of the fact that I stay in a place where Vincent Tan has got a helipad in...just metres away from my home. But....
....the growth of Kota Damansara and surrounding empty plots of land is like planting tau-geh (bean sprouts) these days. Instead of luxury cars on the streets, we see Mat Rempits everywhere. There are foreigners living amongst us, not all but some look like they're big enough to wrestle four or five of our normal Malaysian men to the ground in a heart beat. And because there are so many new 'luxury homes' being built around the area, it's no longer a luxury to live here.
I have made it known publicly in the past that I hate, loathe, detest, motorbikes and now, every time I open my door....bbbreeennnnggg bbb bbbbrrrr bbbrreeeeennnnggg BBBBBBREEENNNGGGGG they go. At the traffic light, how many times I marginally miss hitting them because they think yellow means 'go faster'.
When I moved here, it was jam because of the school nearby. Now it's jam because of everything.
So! Thank goodness we're moving. Back to home.
With back to home, I mean I am moving to a place I am very familiar with, somewhere I grew up in, went to school in, pak-tor (dating) in, fall off my bicycle in....
It's not near Vincent Tan's helipad but heck, I can live without the traffic jam from all sort of people living nearby and the blardie MAT REMPITS.
I hope I don't come off sounding like a snob, no seriously, because you know why? Because I like my home to be peaceful and suitable for raising kids and is just....enjoyable, you know what I mean? I don't mind investing in a place that is medium priced but give me peace of mind and not so crowded like a packed LRT every hour of the day.
So, within a couple of months, I will be bidding this place goodbye. It's my first home on my own, bear in mine and I kinda have a soft spot for it but....it's just not meant to be home anymore. Come to think of it, I really like my condo. It's small but it's easy to upkeep. It's not 'luxury' per se but it's very family-orientated (used to) and quiet. Now, all kinds of foreigns students are living here because of nearby KBU.
Well, as much as I love my home now, nothing in life is permenant, right? The only certain thing in life is change...so change it will be.
Space Sweeper the Korean Sci-Fi Blockbuster hits Netflix 2021 Image Source: KoreaTimes Let me come clean. The first thing I thought when I saw Song Joong Ki leading the lineup for this movie was ' Is this OK?' ' Hhhmmm.....what about, you know...his personal life', and as a fan of his previous personal work, I had the same doubt I had when he was casted in 'Descendants of the Sun'. Sorry, Joong Ki. 😳 But the concept of a sci-fi movie in the Korean film platter was enticing. The trailer didn't look half bad either. When it comes to space movies, Hollywood has always been the Big Guy. We expect Hollywood to deliver the big guns and explosions while Kdrama land is all mush, love, arm grabs, ice-cold kiss scenes, love triangles, and of late, time traveling. So, sci-fi? Interesting. Honestly, I went in with an empty mind which is not necessarily an open one. Ditched the reviews, writeups, Youtube reactions and everything else and hit the 'watch' butto
