Monday Ha-Ha: Love is like a deck of cards

It's always Monday that my great-second-aunt comes round to visit me (read: it's a Chinese way of saying that a woman's monthly health ailment is back). Bah! It suits me well cause Mondays always suck, anyway. Why not just add to it and make it worse instead of ruining my Friday for me. I'd rather have a completely awful Monday instead of an unfun Friday. But that's why I have my Monday Ha-Ha cause I know most people would their faces looking like prunes with an expiry date that read LAST MONTH. Here's for you....and me.

jamie, GOOD ONE. maybe would be better if a JOKER to take the queen away for a fun holiday over the seven seas so that she can forget about the dead king. hee hee hee....

darman, well....you should consider marriage cause it's kinda rather scary but investigative. fun but imaginative. loving but kinda blood-pressure-raising. but what's life without a little bit of fun, rite?

Maid Side-Kick

I was kind of a little sad when I read the news about this - there will be no live-in Indonesian maids in Malaysia anymore . There are pros and cons to having a live-in maid, as with everything else, but for us, we enjoyed more pros than cons. Back then, when my kids were little, we brought in a family of maids to help with...well, just about everything, and we were like two families merged into one. They ate what we ate, we sleep, they sleep, we shop, they shop, they joke, we laugh, we joke, they laugh...for me, the maid I hired was more like a sister and side-kick to me. For that few years, I was dependent on her to mind-read my schedule and when I need or don't need help. She picked things up quickly and we ended up having lots of moments whereby we were in sync. Today, two of them are on my Facebook and we were gleefully chatting over Facebook Messenger since they've just discovered the wonders of the Internet and Social Media. Recipe :Pumpkin Carrot Soup

Updated this post with a real picture. Ever since, Son 2 saw me buying some local pumpkin, he's been suggesting this for the longest time. I wish I took a picture of the mushroom soup I made the day before. Edit: I did the mushroom soup recipe a bit earlier) + meatballs and pasta ) I didn't but I will do it the next time I make it. It was absolutely heavenly.  But anyway, these were more or less the ingredients I used and the way I made it.  I made it using the crock pot/slow cooker over a couple of hours because it's an easy and lazy way to melt everything down. Unlike Chinese soups, we just need to cook everything down and then blend everything, and I mean everything , except the juices, down to a pulp.  Before the final serving, just add in as much cooking cream as you want. This is subjective and based on your personal preference.  I don't think AI can recreate the images above. Hehehehe.....
