From Tell Me to Irony - LIVE singing Wonder Girls

Ever since catching on with their 'Tell Me' song, dance and video, I kinda been looking into their activities of late. Wonder Girls released their song, Irony (don't know if they know the meaning of the word 'irony', though) and the song is fantabulous.
But that's not what I am writing about although I love the song a lot. I think it's really catchy and bitchy! Hee hee hee....
What I am writing about today is that they sang credibly well LIVE. It's not easy to dance the way they do (awesome moves, I'm telling you) while singing. They sounded a little breathy and out-of-breath but it's good effort. I don't know if I would have been able to utter a single word if I danced their moves.
Nice song, fabulous moves. Watch it. If you listen to the rap part, you will very 'faintly' notice the 'teamwork' part of the performance. Because by the time the rapper is ready for her part, it's 3/4 down the road, she'd be out of breath. She also sang right after the 'breakdown' ('break' to the rest of us) part of the song. The breakdown part is reserved for aggressive dancing which means that she wouldn't have a second of break before she starts to sing. Very faintly, whenever she falters or is out of breath, another voice comes in....just very softly. This is teamwork, mates.
As you can see, I don't only promote handsome blokes like Sung Si Kyung and RAIN. I like girls too. Oh. That didn't come out right, did it? :-)

killer, pretty good hor. There's another girl band that I kinda admire from Korea but they are very inconsistent and they've got like 9 girls or something. TOO MANY!!! And most of them can't sing...BUT definitely can dance like hell.

My point is that it's hard to sing when you dance like that. Agree? LOL :-)

Marsha, agreed. These girls can only get better. They're still so young!
Now....if only you can dance like that and sing without any panting. That'd be VERY interesting to see! Oh, the condition is you must wear miniskirt like them.

A Liberating Activity - Guess What Mine Is....

When asked what’s my one single favorite thing to do in the world, I would usually name a whole list of things that I love to do when my work is not screaming at me. Something that takes my mind COMPLETELY off of everyday tasks and relaxes me. Take a guess what it is…. If you say ‘ reading ’, yes, I love reading (especially soppy love stories with lots of sex scenes, please. Hee hee hee ….) and I also love mystery novels but it’s not the first on the list. If you say ‘ playing the piano ’; yes, I love playing the piano. Creating forms a huge part of my life and whenever I play the piano (as inept at it as I am), there’s this tiny little girl inside of me jumping up and down with glee, clapping her hands. It’s my childhood dream to be able to play the piano! And thumping on the keys gives me a sense of satisfaction when I hear the music. If you say ‘ writing ’; You’ve got to be kidding me! You mean I don’t write enough as it is? Case closed. If you say ‘ playing with my kids ’; Yea...

At Camp 5, 1 Utama: Kids' Rescue Mission

The kids had a wonderfully exciting day today. Now, this is as extreme as this mother is going to get. Mommy goes Paintball, kids go mountain-climbing...I think I've fulfilled the criteria of offering my kids a fun and exciting life as a kid. :-) It was one of their friends' birthday party and they're a little bored of KidzSports...that's for BABIES, anyway, they say. So, off to Camp 5 then, says the birthday boy's mother. Camp 5 in 1 Utama is located near Neways Karaoke, for those who have never been there before. It's a neat little corner tucked up on the roof of the massive shopping complex. Anyway, the kids had tons of fun although a little apprhensive when they saw how high the 'rock' was. It's actually quite neat and if I didn't feel like throwing up whenever up on higher grounds, I would have wanted to try it as well. The highlight of this party came in the form of a rescue mission. As we all know, when one is frighte...

Demanding a Balanced Lifestyle

We live in a world choked with demands….demand for more money, better lifestyle, more holidays, smarter kids, bigger house, posher cars….etc. People walk around with spiritually unimportant goals in their minds driven by the need to succeed and be better than others around them. Hong Kong. South Korea. Japan. Most Asian countries suffer from this ill-fate which have caused a horrific rise in the number of suicide rates in the said countries. Malaysia is no exception as well although we’re very slowly gaining ground on our neighbors. Just picking up my son from school can become a stressful affair. I’ve mentioned this to a few friends of mine over the phone and all of them cluck their tongue shake their head. It’s end of the year and the kids are getting their test results back by now. I overheard a couple of tai-tais (housewives) gripe about their kids’ results. Mom: I don’t know-lah. My kid did not do very well this term. The best also got 95 only. (NINETY FIVE ONLY???) ...
