Smiley Miley

When one is missing a 'Y' chromosome, I believe we have a right to b-tch at things like this...especially when it concerns another person who is ALSO missing the 'Y' chromosome. It's a disorder, I'm telling ya. But I'm not doing that here today. That's Miley. And she's smiling...what a refreshing sight because whenever you see celebs' accidental meetings with the pappies, they're either scowling, showing you their middle finger, running away, looking the other way, walking MIIIILLLEES away from someone they've purportedly just had lunch with, hidden behind a cap/bandana/hoodie/umbrella or hand, throwing a slipper at you or simply growling obscenities. Some time back, I wrote about Hugh Jackman's gracious personality and this seems to be the style that Miley's adopted. As much as I love Ryan Gosling and Robert Pattinson, boyz....there's a lesson here. When questioned and b-tched at by Perez Hilton about her being a famewhore, she simply tweeted that there was nothing she could do about it, anyway....which is true. It comes with fame, babe. :-) Well, this is not to say that she LOOOOOOOVES the paparazzi because she tweeted about how being one of the Paps is DISGUSTING. But when she smiles like that, it shows maturity. That she's got her sh*t together. She's not falling for it, she's in control. And I love the fact that she's not starving herself so hard that her cheekbones became daggers. She's got some meat on her....which is FANTASTIC. Love it.

When asked what’s my one single favorite thing to do in the world, I would usually name a whole list of things that I love to do when my work is not screaming at me. Maid Side-Kick

I was kind of a little sad when I read the news about this - there will be no live-in Indonesian maids in Malaysia anymore . There are pros and cons to having a live-in maid, as with everything else, but for us, we enjoyed more pros than cons. Back then, when my kids were little, we brought in a family of maids to help with...well, just about everything, and we were like two families merged into one. They ate what we ate, we sleep, they sleep, we shop, they shop, they joke, we laugh, we joke, they laugh...for me, the maid I hired was more like a sister and side-kick to me. For that few years, I was dependent on her to mind-read my schedule and when I need or don't need help. She picked things up quickly and we ended up having lots of moments whereby we were in sync. Today, two of them are on my Facebook and we were gleefully chatting over Facebook Messenger since they've just discovered the wonders of the Internet and Social Media. Recipe :Pumpkin Carrot Soup

Updated this post with a real picture. Ever since, Son 2 saw me buying some local pumpkin, he's been suggesting this for the longest time. I wish I took a picture of the mushroom soup I made the day before. Edit: I did the mushroom soup recipe a bit earlier) + meatballs and pasta ) I didn't but I will do it the next time I make it. It was absolutely heavenly.  But anyway, these were more or less the ingredients I used and the way I made it.  I made it using the crock pot/slow cooker over a couple of hours because it's an easy and lazy way to melt everything down. Unlike Chinese soups, we just need to cook everything down and then blend everything, and I mean everything , except the juices, down to a pulp.  Before the final serving, just add in as much cooking cream as you want. This is subjective and based on your personal preference.  I don't think AI can recreate the images above. Hehehehe.....
