I Don't Know What's Going To Happen, Do You?

Ryhen's Mind, someone I follow on Google Reader, wrote this about life. Part of the reason why I read these stuff because it melows me down...I am easily excitable, that's why. According to him, history repeats itself. As in you live, then you die, then you live then you die. On an everyday basis, we repeat things like doing the laundry (which NEVER ENDS!!!) and we continually eat, we continually go to sleep and continually wake up. And then do our thing, work, come home, watch TV....etc.

But that is kind of depressing way to look at life, isn't it?

I mean, I know of some people who are really into the whole 'what is life all about?' or the 'why is planet earth the only earth in our solar system with living beings?' and also the 'the aliens built the Egyptian pyramids'. Contrary to what you may be thinking, I am not having one at the expense of these people. It could be true. Who knows? I certainly don't. For all you know, IT IS true, right?

Anyway, back to the repeating things thing. I kind of like to think that I do things for a reason. Like I eat because I am hungry. I sleep because I am tired...or will suffer early death if I don't.

For life, I am doing things for a reason too....like for experience and growth. Maybe when I die, this whole experience thing won't die? Oh. That's what people call spirits, huh?

I don't know what it is but I am on this rollercoaster ride as it is and I am not getting off. So, since I am here, I might as well scream at the top of my lungs and have some fun, right?

After all, like I said, I don't know for sure what is going to happen. Do you?

p.s. Oh gawrd, this is deeeeeeeepp stuff. :-)

A Liberating Activity - Guess What Mine Is....

When asked what’s my one single favorite thing to do in the world, I would usually name a whole list of things that I love to do when my work is not screaming at me. Something that takes my mind COMPLETELY off of everyday tasks and relaxes me. Take a guess what it is…. If you say ‘ reading ’, yes, I love reading (especially soppy love stories with lots of sex scenes, please. Hee hee hee ….) and I also love mystery novels but it’s not the first on the list. If you say ‘ playing the piano ’; yes, I love playing the piano. Creating forms a huge part of my life and whenever I play the piano (as inept at it as I am), there’s this tiny little girl inside of me jumping up and down with glee, clapping her hands. It’s my childhood dream to be able to play the piano! And thumping on the keys gives me a sense of satisfaction when I hear the music. If you say ‘ writing ’; You’ve got to be kidding me! You mean I don’t write enough as it is? Case closed. If you say ‘ playing with my kids ’; Yea...

At Camp 5, 1 Utama: Kids' Rescue Mission

The kids had a wonderfully exciting day today. Now, this is as extreme as this mother is going to get. Mommy goes Paintball, kids go mountain-climbing...I think I've fulfilled the criteria of offering my kids a fun and exciting life as a kid. :-) It was one of their friends' birthday party and they're a little bored of KidzSports...that's for BABIES, anyway, they say. So, off to Camp 5 then, says the birthday boy's mother. Camp 5 in 1 Utama is located near Neways Karaoke, for those who have never been there before. It's a neat little corner tucked up on the roof of the massive shopping complex. Anyway, the kids had tons of fun although a little apprhensive when they saw how high the 'rock' was. It's actually quite neat and if I didn't feel like throwing up whenever up on higher grounds, I would have wanted to try it as well. The highlight of this party came in the form of a rescue mission. As we all know, when one is frighte...

Demanding a Balanced Lifestyle

We live in a world choked with demands….demand for more money, better lifestyle, more holidays, smarter kids, bigger house, posher cars….etc. People walk around with spiritually unimportant goals in their minds driven by the need to succeed and be better than others around them. Hong Kong. South Korea. Japan. Most Asian countries suffer from this ill-fate which have caused a horrific rise in the number of suicide rates in the said countries. Malaysia is no exception as well although we’re very slowly gaining ground on our neighbors. Just picking up my son from school can become a stressful affair. I’ve mentioned this to a few friends of mine over the phone and all of them cluck their tongue shake their head. It’s end of the year and the kids are getting their test results back by now. I overheard a couple of tai-tais (housewives) gripe about their kids’ results. Mom: I don’t know-lah. My kid did not do very well this term. The best also got 95 only. (NINETY FIVE ONLY???) ...
