So much rain, is it really the end of the world?

It's been raining and raining and raining and raining and raining and raining and raining and raining here in PJ (KL to some others who are not familiar with the term PJ) and I think in a way, it's clogged my brain. Writing, which is second nature to me (first nature being going toilet), is slow because my brain just ain't functioning. Or maybe I just need to eat more Spirulina because it seems that Spirulina boosts brain activity. I get mine from Cosway and apparently, they are really good. Anyway, I'll leave that to you but according to me, I think there is some basis for those claims. Under normal circumstances, I love the rain...when I am tucked comfortably indoors with the comforter pulled all the way up to my chin and sipping on a cup of nice Chamomile tea but when you have to run around like a lunatic, it's just not cool. Which brings me around to the topic rain. Someone once told me that the world will end up like...you know, Water World. God will end the world, once again, with so much rain that there will be flood all over the place, I mean, all over earth. Hhhmm....I've not watched 2012 the movie yet, so I've no comments on that movie, but if it is true that the rain is an indication of the end of the world, there are two things that I am going to do. One, build an ark. Two, sail to the driest part of Africa. But first, let's start with the ark. Does anyone here know how to work the hammer?

I love the cool that the rain brings. And no, I don't think the world's ending any time soon so you still have time to learn how to use that hammer LOL.

A Liberating Activity - Guess What Mine Is....

When asked what’s my one single favorite thing to do in the world, I would usually name a whole list of things that I love to do when my work is not screaming at me. Something that takes my mind COMPLETELY off of everyday tasks and relaxes me. Take a guess what it is…. If you say ‘ reading ’, yes, I love reading (especially soppy love stories with lots of sex scenes, please. Hee hee hee ….) and I also love mystery novels but it’s not the first on the list. If you say ‘ playing the piano ’; yes, I love playing the piano. Creating forms a huge part of my life and whenever I play the piano (as inept at it as I am), there’s this tiny little girl inside of me jumping up and down with glee, clapping her hands. It’s my childhood dream to be able to play the piano! And thumping on the keys gives me a sense of satisfaction when I hear the music. If you say ‘ writing ’; You’ve got to be kidding me! You mean I don’t write enough as it is? Case closed. If you say ‘ playing with my kids ’; Yea...

At Camp 5, 1 Utama: Kids' Rescue Mission

The kids had a wonderfully exciting day today. Now, this is as extreme as this mother is going to get. Mommy goes Paintball, kids go mountain-climbing...I think I've fulfilled the criteria of offering my kids a fun and exciting life as a kid. :-) It was one of their friends' birthday party and they're a little bored of KidzSports...that's for BABIES, anyway, they say. So, off to Camp 5 then, says the birthday boy's mother. Camp 5 in 1 Utama is located near Neways Karaoke, for those who have never been there before. It's a neat little corner tucked up on the roof of the massive shopping complex. Anyway, the kids had tons of fun although a little apprhensive when they saw how high the 'rock' was. It's actually quite neat and if I didn't feel like throwing up whenever up on higher grounds, I would have wanted to try it as well. The highlight of this party came in the form of a rescue mission. As we all know, when one is frighte...

Demanding a Balanced Lifestyle

We live in a world choked with demands….demand for more money, better lifestyle, more holidays, smarter kids, bigger house, posher cars….etc. People walk around with spiritually unimportant goals in their minds driven by the need to succeed and be better than others around them. Hong Kong. South Korea. Japan. Most Asian countries suffer from this ill-fate which have caused a horrific rise in the number of suicide rates in the said countries. Malaysia is no exception as well although we’re very slowly gaining ground on our neighbors. Just picking up my son from school can become a stressful affair. I’ve mentioned this to a few friends of mine over the phone and all of them cluck their tongue shake their head. It’s end of the year and the kids are getting their test results back by now. I overheard a couple of tai-tais (housewives) gripe about their kids’ results. Mom: I don’t know-lah. My kid did not do very well this term. The best also got 95 only. (NINETY FIVE ONLY???) ...
