I am taking a risk here but this is a heartfelt post that I feel should be written and posted. It's a touchy subject...
It's sad when you come up with really chirpy statements to encourage the normal citizen to exercise their right to vote and they give you a solemn statement and makes you reel back for a few breathless seconds.
'What for? There's no hope for this country. Whatever we do, nothing's going to change. Accept it,' says he.
This is coming from an everyday bloke walking around hand-in-hand with his girlfriend, all of...maybe....thirty-five years of age? So young and yet already have his head in a cloud of hopelessness? So soon? The fight's only just begun!
But who can blame them? Look at the recent events...politicians with soiled pasts are found, kicked out, reinstated and gone on to win. Again and again....and yet AGAIN! Shameful, it is. So, who can blame them?
However, here's why the fight must continue. They want us to give up and say 'there's no hope'. As long as we refuse to give up, they will continue to be on their toes. Let's look at it this way, if our pushing and shoving results in a better government, it's better for the future generation. This country will be a better place for your kids and my kids and their kids' kids.
But the point is we must not EVER let them have a second's privilege of putting their guard down! Not one second. The moment their guard is down, we charge! At every opportunity that we can find, we will stab, spear and wound. They have disappointed us in the past and we have endured enough.
As a citizen, we ought to stand up and make our voices be heard and please....let it not be 'there's no hope'.
Either way, if they lose, there's a new government and there's hope.
If we lose, they are on their toes and there's hope.
Says who there's no hope? Says who we should quit?
Whatever is stated here is merely my personal opinion about what is going on in a country that I dearly love. I wish only for the best and doing what I can.
I was kind of a little sad when I read the news about this - there will be no live-in Indonesian maids in Malaysia anymore . There are pros and cons to having a live-in maid, as with everything else, but for us, we enjoyed more pros than cons. Back then, when my kids were little, we brought in a family of maids to help with...well, just about everything, and we were like two families merged into one. They ate what we ate, we sleep, they sleep, we shop, they shop, they joke, we laugh, we joke, they laugh...for me, the maid I hired was more like a sister and side-kick to me. For that few years, I was dependent on her to mind-read my schedule and when I need or don't need help. She picked things up quickly and we ended up having lots of moments whereby we were in sync. Today, two of them are on my Facebook and we were gleefully chatting over Facebook Messenger since they've just discovered the wonders of the Internet and Social Media. Since we were more like partners in crim...
