Random Picture Log

Today a bit malas (lazy) to write long long, so, gonna post pictures instead. I uploaded these into my FB account and thot that I could share some of them with you. Stop sneering at me! You've had one of these moments yourself....admit it! :-) Sometimes you forget time (and hunger) when playing at the park. For the kids, they can continue playing till the cows come home. For me, there's this very short track around the playground that I walk round and round and round and round and round and......till it's dark. I find that very therapeutic! I thot this was a really unique shot taken at a rather unusual angle of a pair of....SLIPPERS! I don't know who walked away without his/her slippers but it was there and it was ALREADY QUITE DARK outside! The great thing about this park is that it's neat, quite nice, big and not many people are there during the weekdays! They don't need expensive toys. They need sticks! For some reason, kids' fave position is always upside down. Isn't it great to be a kid??? LOL! I don't remember ever flying a kite, really. Sometimes I wish I could. The kids were laughing, parents are laughing....sigh...beautiful!! I love this picture! Aren't the clouds nice nice NICE??? Was at my in-laws' house when they went on their holiday in Australia. I was just standing at the balcony and then saw the perfect model for my handphone camera.....a FLY!!! Just sitting there....modeling and waiting for me to snap a picture.....hahahaha! When the going gets tough, what do you do? You LAUGH, of course. It's the best decision, after all, isn't it? This is a book belonging to a friend of mine and she kept insisting that I should take it! I really need a good laugh, actually. :-) I stay very near Patrick Teoh's Damansara Village steamboat restaurant and have never been there. This is the first time we are there and the food was delicious. A little pricey but the food is good. Love the steamboat soup! The kids kept on eating fishball and all those processed food....dunno why. The chicken and beef were not popular with them. But all the better....the adults can have that!

A Liberating Activity - Guess What Mine Is....

When asked what’s my one single favorite thing to do in the world, I would usually name a whole list of things that I love to do when my work is not screaming at me. Something that takes my mind COMPLETELY off of everyday tasks and relaxes me. Take a guess what it is…. If you say ‘ reading ’, yes, I love reading (especially soppy love stories with lots of sex scenes, please. Hee hee hee ….) and I also love mystery novels but it’s not the first on the list. If you say ‘ playing the piano ’; yes, I love playing the piano. Creating forms a huge part of my life and whenever I play the piano (as inept at it as I am), there’s this tiny little girl inside of me jumping up and down with glee, clapping her hands. It’s my childhood dream to be able to play the piano! And thumping on the keys gives me a sense of satisfaction when I hear the music. If you say ‘ writing ’; You’ve got to be kidding me! You mean I don’t write enough as it is? Case closed. If you say ‘ playing with my kids ’; Yea...

Maid Side-Kick

I was kind of a little sad when I read the news about this - there will be no live-in Indonesian maids in Malaysia anymore . There are pros and cons to having a live-in maid, as with everything else, but for us, we enjoyed more pros than cons. Back then, when my kids were little, we brought in a family of maids to help with...well, just about everything, and we were like two families merged into one. They ate what we ate, we sleep, they sleep, we shop, they shop, they joke, we laugh, we joke, they laugh...for me, the maid I hired was more like a sister and side-kick to me. For that few years, I was dependent on her to mind-read my schedule and when I need or don't need help. She picked things up quickly and we ended up having lots of moments whereby we were in sync. Today, two of them are on my Facebook and we were gleefully chatting over Facebook Messenger since they've just discovered the wonders of the Internet and Social Media. Since we were more like partners in crim...

Recipe :Pumpkin Carrot Soup

Updated this post with a real picture. Ever since, Son 2 saw me buying some local pumpkin, he's been suggesting this for the longest time. I wish I took a picture of the mushroom soup I made the day before. Edit: I did the mushroom soup recipe a bit earlier) + meatballs and pasta ) I didn't but I will do it the next time I make it. It was absolutely heavenly.  But anyway, these were more or less the ingredients I used and the way I made it.  I made it using the crock pot/slow cooker over a couple of hours because it's an easy and lazy way to melt everything down. Unlike Chinese soups, we just need to cook everything down and then blend everything, and I mean everything , except the juices, down to a pulp.  Before the final serving, just add in as much cooking cream as you want. This is subjective and based on your personal preference.  I don't think AI can recreate the images above. Hehehehe.....
