Blogging Private Posts

Don't you agree that it would be great if Blogger had this private posting option that only CERTAIN people can access with a password? I had a wordpress account earlier until the buggers there booted me out because some A**hole flagged one of my post as being politically laced....which it wasn't! Wordpress had such an option whereby you can mark the post as private and give it a password. If friends or family members wanted to access the private posts, they can email you for the password and you can pick and choose the 'applicants' lah... :-) But Blogger doesn't have...which is strange since it's bigger and supposedly better than wordpress. In all honesty, I think wordpress is a whole world better than blogger and I have no idea as to why people flog to blogger and not wordpress. wordpress is also far more flexible in that sense...that you can tweak the blog to the extent that it looks and feels completely like a website. You can have individual 'contact', 'about', 'services' page and all that which is something you cannot find in blogger. Yo, you guys back in blogger, can you do something about this? But in all fairness, wordpress' free service does not allow people to post scripts and stuff, especially third-party scripts and such, into the pages....which truly sucks too. Back to the private post thing, I really wish blogger would do something about it so that bloggers can actually dry their dirty laundry out on the web selectively.

Blogger has wut. Only, you can't password protect certain posts. You'd have to password protect your entire blog. Then no one can read it. Haha. Happy Mother's Day to you woman!

You're right in saying Wordpress is miles ahead of blogger/blogspot. The only reason blogger has tons of people using it is because it was the first blogging platform and it's pretty simple to get started.

Wordpress OTOH, is pretty daunting at first. I guess with flexibility and features comes complexity.

Nothing beats a privately hosted Wordpress though. You'd have to manage upgrades but in return you get the freedom to blog about anything and everything plus the ability to use the freely available skins/scripts is uber cool :)

jamie, sorry to take the wind out of sail, bro, I can use wordpress if it's not the free one. They can ban me from the free one but not if I have my own domain name and host.

Which, thanks to you, I found Bernie and being the lovely techie that he is, he said OK to help with my WORDPRESS site, www.contentmagician.com!

:-)
