In some countries, they believe that once a woman decides to start her own family and give birth to children, she should give herself up. It is her job to ensure the happiness, health and comfort of her family AT THE EXPENSE of her own. Once a woman decides to bear children, she should not complain about not having enough time to pursue her own interests and she’s definitely not allowed to have her own life. She should just smile and endure when her day’s packed with washing, cleaning, bathing, feeding and cooking.
While this boulder has been sitting on a woman’s shoulders for…I don’t know, ever since forever, modern woman go on with life with another boulder on their other shoulder. To make a living and bring in the income as well. All this while, we don’t see any additional duties for men, do we? They can choose to help out but no one would REALLY blame them if they don’t.

I have been doing this pose, part of Cosmic Dance (a type of yoga, I am assuming), called Stargazer pose without knowing it is called Stargazer's pose a lot in the past. You see, sometimes, I don't follow the rules and come up with my own stretches and poses. It is fun. I have on some music, nice, soothing music or just anything I can click on. Then I go with the flow, letting my hair down. Just moving to the music...and that is when I come up with the above Stargazer's pose. This pose really stretches your sides. Keep your eyes on the outstretched hand if you are keeping it pointed to the top, as if you are waving or connecting to a higher energy from the Universe. Your arms will ache a little but hey, toned arms, here you come! :-) For those who want a bigger stretch, it is safe to slowly and gently move the lifted hand towards your back...don't overdo it, listen to your body's complaints and respect it. Last night, when I was out having dinner with friends, I bumped into an old high schoolmate of mine, also 28 with a two-year old daughter, taking her out for an evening walk.
And no, he wasn't forced to lah, he actually enjoys it, taking a more involved role with parenting. And yes, both husband and wife works. So still got some hope, methinks. ;)
