Hands Up For Holistic Beauty and Slimming

There’s no end to the beautifying, spa-ing and slimming industry….an honest statement deserving of a nod from you readers! Although I have never tried one of ‘em slimming programs before (too expensive and painful, I believe), I’ve tried home slimming remedies before. None of them worked, actually. I am particularly opposed towards taking drinks or medications that make you puke and sit on the throne for hours and causing havoc to your to your digestive systems! Listen, if you want to slim down and detox at the same time, you try Juvanex, which works.

I’ve written lots of times before too about what I think of all that U-Zap, I-Zing, U-Lose, They-suck contraptions that you put on affected areas. Manufacturers are making off with truckloads of money while they hand you a package of ‘false hope’. Being a firm believer that weight-loss and beauty begins from within, I’ve invested in lots of books that teach me how to live properly, eat properly, exercise properly for the overall health revamp. There’s no electrical appliance in the world that can compare to internal beauty that translates into physical beauty.

For less than what you would spend on a bottle of diet pills or OO-Long tea, why not go for something more holistic. For example, something like this diet. At the end of the day, not only will you look better, you’ll also FEEL better. You walk with a slight strut because your system works better after going through the program.

I can’t say I’ve tried it out myself, but after reading through what’s on the site, I might just decide to.

A Liberating Activity - Guess What Mine Is....

When asked what’s my one single favorite thing to do in the world, I would usually name a whole list of things that I love to do when my work is not screaming at me. Something that takes my mind COMPLETELY off of everyday tasks and relaxes me. Take a guess what it is…. If you say ‘ reading ’, yes, I love reading (especially soppy love stories with lots of sex scenes, please. Hee hee hee ….) and I also love mystery novels but it’s not the first on the list. If you say ‘ playing the piano ’; yes, I love playing the piano. Creating forms a huge part of my life and whenever I play the piano (as inept at it as I am), there’s this tiny little girl inside of me jumping up and down with glee, clapping her hands. It’s my childhood dream to be able to play the piano! And thumping on the keys gives me a sense of satisfaction when I hear the music. If you say ‘ writing ’; You’ve got to be kidding me! You mean I don’t write enough as it is? Case closed. If you say ‘ playing with my kids ’; Yea...

At Camp 5, 1 Utama: Kids' Rescue Mission

The kids had a wonderfully exciting day today. Now, this is as extreme as this mother is going to get. Mommy goes Paintball, kids go mountain-climbing...I think I've fulfilled the criteria of offering my kids a fun and exciting life as a kid. :-) It was one of their friends' birthday party and they're a little bored of KidzSports...that's for BABIES, anyway, they say. So, off to Camp 5 then, says the birthday boy's mother. Camp 5 in 1 Utama is located near Neways Karaoke, for those who have never been there before. It's a neat little corner tucked up on the roof of the massive shopping complex. Anyway, the kids had tons of fun although a little apprhensive when they saw how high the 'rock' was. It's actually quite neat and if I didn't feel like throwing up whenever up on higher grounds, I would have wanted to try it as well. The highlight of this party came in the form of a rescue mission. As we all know, when one is frighte...

Demanding a Balanced Lifestyle

We live in a world choked with demands….demand for more money, better lifestyle, more holidays, smarter kids, bigger house, posher cars….etc. People walk around with spiritually unimportant goals in their minds driven by the need to succeed and be better than others around them. Hong Kong. South Korea. Japan. Most Asian countries suffer from this ill-fate which have caused a horrific rise in the number of suicide rates in the said countries. Malaysia is no exception as well although we’re very slowly gaining ground on our neighbors. Just picking up my son from school can become a stressful affair. I’ve mentioned this to a few friends of mine over the phone and all of them cluck their tongue shake their head. It’s end of the year and the kids are getting their test results back by now. I overheard a couple of tai-tais (housewives) gripe about their kids’ results. Mom: I don’t know-lah. My kid did not do very well this term. The best also got 95 only. (NINETY FIVE ONLY???) ...
