So, CNY has come and gone and this year, my kids' been having more home visits than me. I just went to a couple of friends' homes and then relatives' homes, ate, drank, ate, drank and not forgetting, giving out ang pow money. T.T
Here are some pictures just for fun, taken from Instagram.
Just right before Chinese New Year, an online-turned-offline friend of mine sent me a 'surprise' gift which is a t-shirt designed by another online-turned-offline friend of ours. To show her my support for the pictures that she consistently draws (and she posts them online to inspire others...and it works, let me tell you), I wore the shirt and as requested, took a picture of it. She happy, I happy. We all win. =)
Walked around the malls during CNY and bought this awesome Jasmine tea. Am not a fan of Chatime and drank that only once. Don't see what all the hoopla is all about. It's just tea with juice and some tangy balls in there. Nothing much. I much prefer to drink tea the way we used to back then. Like this.
Me and friends got a little stressed out because some of us started going back to work already so, naturally, I switched from tea to....well....this. It was Valentine's Day, so I bought them teddy bears (I am such a sucker for this, I tell you, there is absolutely no cure for this!) for them and when the drinks kicked in, we had a little fun with it.
The other picture is...erm....less suitable for kids so, shall not publish. =)
We also went out to satisfy our need for Japanese food, frankly, I have never had these beans thing before and was a little reluctant but it is awesome. Sorry for shaky picture, my fingers were dirty and I was doing my best not to add more bacteria on my phone.
And my friend was very sweet, she bought a cake along for the dinner. It is somekindofchocolatebutisred...I don't remember what it is called. And shut up if you are looking around for a nice, suitable name to call me. Hahaha...
As you can see, 2013 CNY is about nothing but food, food, food and some drinks. Hope you guys had a nice, long holiday and a great reunion with your friends and family too!
Over and out,
XOXO,
Marsha

This year's family reunion dinner was MASSIVE! I mean, MASSIVE. MASSIVE as in it can feed a whole village of very hungry, malnutritioned people! My brother's wife's family cooked up a feast and the rule was that no one gets up from their respective chairs until every molecule of food on the table was polished up. Oh egad. We couldn't do it, naturally, so, there were some leftovers everyone took home.
