About two years ago, when JJ was still with Rudy, working the Morning Crew for Hitz.fm, my kids and I spend most mornings during our drive to school listening to the antics of JJ and Rudy. They would guffaw at the jokes while I maneuvered my way past cars, showing my middle finger at rowdy drivers, cursing under my breath when someone cuts me off. I don't think they understood all the jokes but they laughed whenever JJ cackles. :-)
There STILL are some posters of these two dudes around promoting the Gotcha prank calls. I've seen them.
I might as well have announced that I am taking their Nintendos away forever when I told them that there will be no more JJ and Rudy. Now, it's JJ and Ean. 'Who?? They fired Rudy?' I assured them that this wasn't the case.
The way I am connected to JJ is funny because it's multi-layered like lasagna. One layer after another. There's the cousin who is married to a man who used to go to school with JJ (I think). Then there's me, a blogger, who, like, out-of-the-blue, connected with another mom who reads my blog and we became friends in FB. Then 'anothermom' knows my cousin and also another a friend I've not seen for the longest time. Turns out, 'anothermom' knows JJ intimately.
So, there is this whole 'lineage-like' thing going on. Hahahaa. The world is funny and small that way.
My cousin, the one married to someone who knows the man, held a birthday bash for her kid and turns out, JJ was there. I introduced the kids but they were too shy to say anything. My elder son is a bigger fan and upon greeting and introduction, he dared ventured out with a 'It's a pity you fired Rudy'. I thought that was brave considering he was tongue-tied.
A couple of times, he came over and asked me, 'What do I say?' and I just went.....'er....dono. Just smile, I guess.'
So we smiled a lot.
After that, we just went home. As we reached home and I was parking the car, my elder son said, 'I can't believe we just met JJ'.
I asked, 'Why didn't you ask him anything or talk to him?'
Son said, 'But MOOOOOOOMMMM! I don't even know if he has a dog or anything!!'
Oh. Quite true. hehehehe. But at least we got this picture. Of all days, I forgot my camera, only with my low-yar phone. So, at least we got this....LOOK! Damn good effect with bubbles some more. WALAU!!
:-) All I can say is that he is a downright down-to-earth caring father and husband.
I have been doing this pose, part of Cosmic Dance (a type of yoga, I am assuming), called Stargazer pose without knowing it is called Stargazer's pose a lot in the past. You see, sometimes, I don't follow the rules and come up with my own stretches and poses. It is fun. I have on some music, nice, soothing music or just anything I can click on. Then I go with the flow, letting my hair down. Just moving to the music...and that is when I come up with the above Stargazer's pose. This pose really stretches your sides. Keep your eyes on the outstretched hand if you are keeping it pointed to the top, as if you are waving or connecting to a higher energy from the Universe. Your arms will ache a little but hey, toned arms, here you come! :-) For those who want a bigger stretch, it is safe to slowly and gently move the lifted hand towards your back...don't overdo it, listen to your body's complaints and respect it. You don't have to prove anything to anyone, reme
