Pic Log : Love

Love is free, and it's everywhere. Call me a loopy person, tell me I am living with my head burrowed in the clouds, will me to see things differently but I think love is everywhere. It is during your trying times that you start looking for it more fervently rather than when the stream is smooth-sailing. And it is during difficult moments that you see it more clearly. I am grateful that I am surrounded by it everyday. Took this picture when we had to go to TP-Link office downtown KL to get our router fixed. It malfunctioned for some reason and had to get it rebooted  or Lord knows what the guy really did with the machine . It's funny how this love sign is sitting right next to a trash can. #lol I bet it looks better at night when it is lit up. Have a splendid weekend, people, Love, Marsha

Musings : Walk Ahead

From my Instagram Many of my friends have young kids who are dealing with either sleeping through the night, potty training or Kindergarten. In the meantime, I am dealing with a whole different set of worries. Their willingness to jump into the future, I shall not discourage. Their knowledge of everything, I shall not rain upon. Their dreams, I shall not shatter. Their ability to handle despair as well as triumph, I shall not look down upon. Whatever it is, my job is to be here, as a possible beacon, because that's all I am supposed to do. I don't really know what lies ahead, my boys. I don't know. But whatever it is that you do in your life, I love you to the other side of the Universe and down to the deepest of oceans and I am right here behind you. Whatever it is, someday, it will all make more sense. A Song Of The Future. - Poem by Sidney Lanier Sail fast, sail fast, Ark of my hopes, Ark of my dreams; Sweep lordly o'er the drowned Past, Fly glittering...

Short : Wrong Turns Maketh the Rights

Wrong turns are necessary and sometimes, it takes a big wrong turn to make you stop and seek. But if your wrong turn is big enough, it won't take you long to find the answers. But only when you're listening. Love, Marsha

Cooking : Chinese-Style Steamed Fish

Chicken, pork, beef, chicken, pork, beef....repeat. THAT was what I was facing. Reading about the ultimate goodness of fish, like they have a good deal of Omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin D, how they can lower your possibility of having a stroke or heart attack and how it is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO essential to your child's or unborn child's growth in the world or in the womb that you'd be a selfish person not to feed your kids fish. It wasn't helping either. Anyway, I bought a small one from the morning market one morning without knowing what fish it is...all I know is that I've seen this type of little bugger somewhere before in a Chinese restaurant. First off, I hate dealing with fish. As in, I hate touching it and feel eeky if it's a whole fish. Yes, I am very (stereotyping, please excuse me) European or American this way. To this very day, 10+ years after cooking my first dinner, I still find myself whispering ' sorry, sorry, sorry ' to whole fishes, prawns...

Video : THREE GIRLFRIENDS and He Can't Handle it

If you're having a bad day, watch this. It's an old video but it's still worth watching. I mean, if you think your day is bad and you have a lot of problems to sift through, this five-year-old's got you beat. Buddy, I'm with you. I wish I was four again too. p.s. Being too adorable has its down side. XD Love, Marsha

Musings : Ode To Friendships

People who judge you and talk behind your back are not your friends. They are not worth missing. It's the people who hate but love, dislike but like, cry and laugh with, accept and forgive you, understands and comfort you...those are the dearest people who you don't want to lose We will miss you lot a lot... Even when we find our end of the rainbow, let's not forget how beautiful it was and always is. Credit : Rainbow by J_D_L  on Flickr by : Kayla Rae Pich They're the few people who accept silence over conversation A relationship like this denies silly promises and persuasion You don't feel the need to second guess thoughts or measure words Their love comes in wholes, not halves, not thirds They're the ones that guide you through when fate takes a turn Fights, small and large, end in forgiveness, never a burn You forget about first impressions and the feelings they brought You're grateful for who they are and you forgive 'em for wha...

The Purpose

Credit : Healing by Jade2k on Flickr Someone just reminded me that ' everything happens for a reason ' today when I was lamenting on something not working as I expected it to. Everyone has something dark in their lives, everyone, and we should always try to see the bright side of the things that happen to us. We don't always look at the great things in life because the painful sides help us grow. And when we are going THROUGH the pain, we are also healing. As we are healing, we are open to the learning process. Not running is a big part of life. Uncovering the beauty under what once appeared as a pile of ugliness... that's only one miracle of meditation. #YH4M (Join me in discovery: bexlife.com/journal) A post shared by Rebekah Borucki (@bexlife) on Oct 6, 2017 at 6:00am PDT Love, Marsha

What Charity Really Is

Maybe we do too little that there's nothing to shout about. Honestly speaking, my (and my friends') contributions might have been too tiny compared to other people and that's why there's no fanfare and it might even embarrass me if I say anything about it. In a world that is so self-absorbed, senseless and violent, I believe that the good outweighs the bad. (I have to believe this otherwise news from around the world will send me off into the deep end  - lol) And I think a lot of people do a lot of good everyday, not just in times of trouble like those rushing to donate blood in the terrible Las Vegas mass shooting aftermath. I believe a lot of people are like that. Some people quip ' don't be stupid, don't donate, there are a lot of people with a lot more money than you '. Whilst this is true, doesn't it make you a little happier to give a little, knowing that you're not asking anything back in return? Even if the people have nothing to do w...

Cooking : Beef Stroganoff Fettuccine

Nothing is an easier fix than a one-pot cooking recipe and THIS, I got from from Readers' Digest Healthy One Dish Cooking cook book. XD But because the recipe required so many ingredients (which makes it authentic and very tweakable if you're experienced in the kitchen), there are things that you can skip....which, ahem, I did. I mean, I've always dealt with easy off-the-counter sauces and who knew what to do with ground paprika, cayenne pepper, ground this, ground that and Good Heavens, what do you DO with light sour cream?! Suffice to say, I got a little adventurous and WANTED desperately for a one-dish cooking solution. Busy working people can't be beggars, all moms say. So, what I did was include the list of stranger-to-me list of ingredients into my Keep App and after picking the kids up from school, headed over to the supermarket and just started grabbing and ticking things off the list. Because I was not parked properly (the kids were waiting for me in ...
